Eastland Vets is a privately owned mixed animal practice with a main clinic located in Gisborne and a branch clinic in Wairoa.  We cover a large geographical area, servicing clients throughout the Gisborne and Eastland region.  We have cemented lasting client relationships over the past 30+ years and pride ourselves on providing professional animal healthcare.

This leadership position in the Production Animal team would suit an enthusiastic, hardworking vet with interests in herd health and disease prevention.  While sheep and beef cattle will make up the majority of your caseload; horses, deer, and some working dogs will be included.  Previous experience in a team leadership role would be preferable, but all applications will be considered. 

The ideal candidate would be comfortable dealing with companion animal after-hours emergency cases.  Weeknight after hours duties are shared with the two other Gisborne vet clinics (Monday to Thursday evenings) on a 2 weeks on/4 weeks off basis.  Weekend duties (Friday to Monday) are currently 1:6 weekends. 

Remuneration will include a competitive salary, vehicle, cellphone, laptop, and NZVA membership and Annual Practising Certificate fees paid.  For the right candidate, progression to partnership is available.
